Filmmaker Lieza Röben’s father died two years ago. The days before his death, when Lieza and her family said goodbye to their (step)father and husband, were spent in a daze. In Paul’s Last Waltz, she and her family return to this dramatic period. She speaks with her boyfriend, brother, stepbrother, stepsister and stepmother and analyses the daze of these days. Their memories gradually become more tangible and they come closer to the art of dying.
