In 2009 I graduated in Film Editing from the Netherlands Film Academy. My graduation film ‘Time Within Time’ (director Menno Otten) won the VPRO Documentary Award and was nominated for the 2009 IDFA Student Award. My other graduation film ‘Stay, Away’ (director Paloma Aguilera Valdebenito) was nominated for an European Film Award. Since I have collaborated with both directors. With Menno I worked further on his close up series including ‘Via Dolorosa’ and ‘Face to Face’. With Paloma I worked on ‘Entre Nosotros’ (awarded with the Fipa D’Argent 2012) In 2015 I edited her debut film ‘Out of Love’. I have also worked with Alexis Dos Santos on the short fiction film ‘Random Strangers’ (selected for the Sundance Film Festival 2012)
I edited several documentaries including ‘Sergio Herman, FUCKING PERFECT’, directed by Willemiek Kluijfhout, (awarded special jury prize at Seatlle Film Festival 2015) and ‘Jerome, Jerome’ (directed by Petra Cizsch- Lataster and Peter Lataster) which was nominated for the ‘Best Dutch Documentary at IDFA 2011 and for a Golden Kalf at the Netherlands Film Festival 2012. I also cut various commercials and music videos including Triodos Bank, Artis, Armin v. Buuren, Marco Borsato and Wouter Hamel.
Since 2011 I have my own offline edit studio in Amsterdam, working on AVID.
